BACHELOR OF SCIENCE IN NURSING
Degree Description
The Bachelor of Science in Nursing synthesizes knowledge from nursing, ethics, the humanities, and the natural and social sciences in professional practice. Students will study critical thinking and decision making skills used in nursing process with individuals, families, groups and communities. They will learn to provide health education for individuals, families, groups and communities; to use leadership skills and knowledge of the political system to advance professional nursing practice and health care in various settings; to integrate professional values and ethical, moral and legal aspects of nursing into own professional practice and demonstrate evolving competence in professional role within a changing, multicultural society. Students are required to hold a valid Registered Nurse license.
